Is Slayer Espresso Worth It?

The Slayer Espresso is a commercial espresso machine that features independent boilers, a rotary pump, and PID settings (Proportional Integral Derivative) that allow baristas to monitor and control water temperature. Its 60ml pre-heat coil also makes the brew temperature much more stable since the water is heated by the steam boiler as it travels toward the brew boiler.

Perhaps its most notable feature, the Slayer Espresso machine's patented needle-valve technology is capable of reducing flow rate considerably during pre-brewing. With a longer pre-infusion, the coffee grounds are softly saturated and thus allows for a smooth espresso extraction without the bitterness. All in all, an outstanding machine.

Other Slayer Espresso Machines

Single Group- The Slayer Single Group espresso machine is a compact and powerful choice loved by both home baristas and budget-conscious coffee shop owners. Despite its small size, this machine utilizes the company's patented needle-valve technology to ensure precise flow control. It features independent brew and steam boilers that maintain a consistent temperature for both espresso extraction and milk steaming.

The Single Group espresso machine includes standard Slayer features such as shot mirrors, removable drip trays, and the classic manual paddles. Unlike other models, it doesn't offer volumetric controls, emphasizing a hands-on extraction experience, whether you're using it at home or in a coffee shop.

Steam EP- The Slayer Steam EP offers ease and shot consistency with its volumetric functions, individual group boilers, and customizable options.

Crafted by former baristas, the Steam EP prioritizes barista comfort. It incorporates detachable drip trays, a low counter height, and easy-to-access components for swift and hassle-free maintenance. Programmable features empower baristas to manage a 0.4-second "Pre-Wet" stage and a "Pause" stage before the full extraction takes place.

Unlike the Steam LP, the Steam EP lacks manual extraction controls. Instead, it relies entirely on volumetric controls, allowing baristas to concentrate on other aspects of the beverage preparation process and enhancing the customer experience.

Steam LP- The Steam LP provides both manual and volumetric extraction controls, giving baristas the ability to finely tune espresso recipes and maintain consistent, delicious coffee even during busy mornings.

With its distinctive manual paddle controls and user-friendly design, the Steam LP offers a range of digital and hands-on options, allowing each barista to showcase their skills.

Slayer's Steam LP espresso machine combines the best of both worlds, making it an excellent choice for coffee shops aiming to balance coffee expertise and automation.
